New Leaven Meeting

The typical New Leaven meeting runs 2 hrs. and 15 min. The following diagram shows example timing for the agenda of the two types of New Leaven meeting: TALK vs. PROGRESS Sessions. Either type of meeting always begins informally with a meal (taking about 40 min) and includes a time of prayer and Praise & Worship singing (for 20 min.)

The latter part of the meeting differs according to the TALK or PROGRESS format. In TALK Sessions, a video-recording is presented that varies in length from 30 to about 50 minutes and is followed by a small-group discussion for the remainder of the time. The PROGRESS Sessions involve only a brief verbal introduction, followed by a discussion period that lasts about 65 minutes.
